Medical Director - Physician HOSPICE

Overview

As Medical Director – Physician, Hospice, you’ll guide clinical care and strengthen the quality, safety, and coordination of hospice services. You’ll partner with physicians and care teams to support patients and families, oversee medical management, and ensure care aligns with applicable regulations and standards. Duties

• Provide physician leadership for patient care, clinical policies, and quality improvement.
• Support care planning, utilization management, medical records review, and appropriate use of electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Lead clinical development, research, and project management initiatives; apply clinical research findings to care practices.
• Oversee healthcare compliance, compliance management, and alignment with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) requirements, as applicable.
• Contribute to budgeting, practice and healthcare management, managed care, teaching, and academic or executive leadership activities.

Requirements

• Physician experience treating patients, with post-residency experience and hospital experience.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, medical research, and clinical research.
• Experience with medical leadership, management, supervising, and healthcare or practice management.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems, electronic health records management, medical records, managed care, utilization management, quality improvement, and healthcare compliance.
• Understanding of FDA, DEA, HIPAA, and NCQA requirements; budgeting, project management, teaching, and leadership experience are valued.

Pay: From $1,500.00 per month
