Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Finance Director to lead our financial operations and steer the organization toward sustainable growth. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and risk management. Your expertise in industry-standard accounting principles and regulations will ensure compliance and accuracy across all financial reporting. Duties
- Lead the preparation and interpretation of comprehensive financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses, ensuring clarity and compliance with GAAP, IFRS, IAS standards.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable management, cost accounting, and accrual accounting processes.
- Develop and maintain robust financial projection models to support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment decision-making.
- Manage treasury functions including cash flow analysis, risk management strategies, investment oversight, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ensure adherence to industry-specific financial regulations such as ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and governmental accounting practices where applicable.
- Lead risk analysis initiatives to identify potential financial vulnerabilities; implement risk mitigation strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Supervise the finance team’s activities in financial software systems; foster professional development in areas like data analytics tools and technical accounting expertise.
- Collaborate with business development teams to evaluate new opportunities; provide insights on industry trends and market conditions impacting financial strategies.
- Oversee compliance management efforts across all financial operations; ensure accurate financial report writing and interpretation for internal stakeholders and external regulators.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial operations through process optimization, cost control initiatives, and leveraging innovative financial software solutions.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in finance leadership roles with a proven track record as a Finance Director or similar senior position within complex organizations.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), ASC 606 standards for revenue recognition, and governmental accounting practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in corporate finance, cost management, risk analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Proficiency in advanced data analytics tools, Excel data analysis techniques, and comprehensive financial software systems.
- Solid understanding of industry-specific regulations related to non-profit accounting where applicable; experience with public accounting is a plus.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data into actionable insights; strong report writing skills are essential.
- Ability to develop detailed financial models for projections and scenario analysis that support strategic decision-making processes.
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels; adept at navigating regulatory environments confidently.
