Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to foster growth and stability.
• Lead the preparation of accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and ASC 606 standards.
• Oversee budgeting processes, expense management, cost control initiatives, and financial forecasting analysis to optimize fiscal performance.
• Manage risk assessment procedures including SOX compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), risk analysis, and risk management strategies to safeguard assets and ensure operational integrity.
• Direct treasury management activities such as cash flow monitoring, banking relationships, investment strategies, and liquidity planning to support organizational needs.
• Lead mergers & acquisitions (M&A) activities by conducting market analysis, financial due diligence, valuation assessments, and integration planning to expand organizational capabilities.
• Supervise the finance team’s operations including corporate accounting, non-profit accounting where applicable, payroll management, and supply chain cost control initiatives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on corporate strategy development, business analysis, fundraising efforts for business development, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific financial regulations and standards while maintaining transparency through effective financial report writing and interpretation.

Skills

• Extensive expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and interpretation of complex financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems and software as well as technical accounting principles including GAAP, IFRS, IAS, ASC 606, COSO frameworks.
• Proven experience in risk management practices including SOX compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability in revenue management, profit & loss oversight, budgeting, expense control, and cost management strategies.
• Skilled in strategic management with a focus on business development initiatives such as fundraising for growth opportunities.
• Leadership capabilities with experience supervising finance teams; excellent negotiation skills; adept at strategic planning and executive leadership functions.
• Deep understanding of industry-specific regulations affecting governmental accounting or supply chain finance where applicable.
• Competence in developing financial projection models to support long-term organizational planning and decision-making processes.
• Strong analytical skills combined with a proactive approach to market analysis and industry knowledge of financial regulations.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective financial report writing and presentation to senior leadership teams.
