Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Delivery Planning to lead our transportation engineering and infrastructure project initiatives. This executive role involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of transportation projects, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive management experience, a deep understanding of transportation infrastructure, highway design, and civil engineering software tools. This position requires a visionary leader capable of managing multidisciplinary teams and driving innovative solutions in transportation simulation modeling and infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects, including highway design and related civil engineering initiatives.
Oversee project teams to ensure efficient execution, adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Manage transportation engineering activities with a focus on highway design, utilizing CAD software such as Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads.
Coordinate transportation simulation modeling efforts to optimize project outcomes and support decision-making processes.
Ensure all projects comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and state transportation regulations.
Develop strategic plans for project delivery, resource allocation, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders including government agencies, clients, and internal teams to align project goals with regulatory requirements and community needs.
Foster a high-performance team environment through effective management practices, mentorship, and professional development initiatives.
Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements in transportation engineering, and regulatory changes impacting project delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years of management experience in transportation engineering or related fields.
Proven expertise in transportation infrastructure projects with a strong background in highway design.
Extensive experience with CAD software such as Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads for design and modeling purposes.
Deep knowledge of transportation simulation modeling techniques.
Familiarity with DOT regulations and state transportation policies governing infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams across multiple projects effectively.
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; advanced degrees or professional certifications are preferred.
