Job Description
Be The Revenue Hero of Man Flow Yoga
Man Flow Yoga is seeking an experienced Head of Revenue to grow our business using what we already have - our members, audience, and content - without relying on paid ads or a huge marketing budget. Your job is simple:
- Create new services and products for existing Members
- Reach our existing leads more effectively
- Use your expertise and vision to help us see what we’re missing
- And grow!
Man Flow Yoga is already a successful business. We have a healthy net profit, we have a great, well functioning team, and we have a solid product. Our Members really like what we do, and Dean is the personality that helps bring it all together.
But… we’ve been in more or less the same spot over the last few years. We’re not sure how to grow from here. Dean has been the leader of the company since 2012, building up to the six person team that we have had since 2019.
We have a successful Members’ Area online. We also sell special cork yoga equipment that we designed for our Members (90% of which is sold to Members, not much outside of that). We have a successful series of events that we do a few times per year. Beyond this, we haven’t had a lot of success building out complementary products and services, i.e. providing services and resources that meet our Members’ needs and help our Members be more successful.
Our stuck point
- we have 750,000 leads - a huge social media following, an email list of 35,000+, but we’re not capitalizing on those leads. We only have one segment - we need to add segmentalization to our marketing in order to more effectively reach our various avatars.
Our big problems to solve
1 - how to create complementary services & products that help our existing members be more successful and get more value from Man Flow Yoga
2 - reach our leads with more effective messaging, focused on their specific needs, and increase our overall members
The good news
- we’ve never hired a high level employee with this type of job description before, which means there are plenty of untapped opportunities, especially for the person who has experience growing a business from where we are now and taking it to the next level.
This is where the head of revenue comes in. We’re looking for somebody with the proven track record and expertise to take us from where we are now, and help us grow.
Your Job: Take it to the next level by seeing what we’re missing and what we’re not doing because we don’t have your experience.
Man Flow Yoga is seeking an experienced Head of Revenue to grow our business using what we already have, our members, audience, and content, without relying on paid ads or huge marketing budget.
You'll (1) create and test offers that support the goals of our existing Members as they use the structured workout programs in the Man Flow Yoga Members' Area. These are services and product lines that help Members be more successful with their fitness and wellness goals. You'll also (2) improve conversion rates across our existing audience: 750,000+ followers on social media and YouTube, 30,000+ email subscribers, and 10,000+ former members.
Your first goal: increase revenue without increasing costs.
No paid advertising - not for now, at least. We have the content, audience, and data. It’s up to you to figure out the best way to increase net profit - sustainably, with long-term vision.
What We Value
- Honest selling, always. We only sell things we truly believe in, and we value the honesty and high regard our customers have for us.
- Exceptional service and work. We take care of our Members and hold ourselves to a high standard.
- Honesty with each other. It’s a small team, and we take care of each other. When things aren’t going well, we speak up. We resolve disagreements quickly.
- Independence with collaboration. Most of our work happens independently, outside of our regular team meetings. We manage ourselves, and work well together.
- Flexibility. Get your work done whenever and however - the results are what matters.
What You'll Do
1. Create products and services for existing Members
- Find out what Members need to succeed. We have years and years of data, success stories, and blurbs for you to draw from, and can send out surveys to fill the gaps.
- Segment our Members and improve how we reach them. We know who our members are, but we need to implement segmentation and act on it.
- Create and test offers that support their goals. Develop services and product lines that complement our structured workout programs. Our customers are already asking for them - it’s just a matter of listening closely and positioning appropriately.
- Position offers so they connect. Choose the right packaging, pricing, framing, and messaging for each Member segment. Examples include men dealing with back pain, desk-job stiffness, aging joints, and athletic performance.
- Build additional services/products into the Member experience. Place offers inside the Man Flow Yoga App & Members' Area and our on-boarding process, so Members discover the right offer at the right moment while they're using the program.
- Staff the services you launch. When an offer needs more people to deliver it (coaches, program designers, customer support), find, hire, onboard, and manage contractors or part-time help.
- Test, measure, and decide. Run small, fast tests with clear success criteria. Scale what works, retire what doesn't, and document what you learn.
2. Improve conversion from our existing audience
We’ve got a lot of eyeballs - let’s reach them more effectively.
- 750,000+ followers on social media and YouTube. Turn more of them into email subscribers and Members.
- 30,000+ email subscribers. Figure out how to reach these warmer leads and get them into a program that’s focused on their goals.
- 10,000+ former members. Win them back, or figure out how we can be useful to them.
3. Learn Man Flow Yoga; create & implement your growth vision
- Get to know our Members & audience: Review what we already know about our Members and audience: past surveys, support conversations, comments, cancellation feedback, and results from things we've tried before.
- Establish baseline metrics: lifetime value, revenue per Member, offer take rates, and conversion by channel.
- Come up with a priority list: Use what you learn to figure out what's worth testing next, and why.
- Test it, measure it: Design a clear way to test it: what you're testing, how you'll measure it, and what result would tell you it's working.
- Scale what works: If a test works, build the plan to grow it and roll it out fully.
What Success Looks Like (and feels like)
- We've launched new products and services that are resonating strongly with our Members, and generating meaningful additional revenue.
- Customer lifetime value is going up. Members are worth more to us over time because we're offering them more of what they want and need.
- We’re converting more leads. We're doing a noticeably better job reaching our leads, our audience, our email list, our former members, and converting them into paying customers.
- There’s momentum, excitement, and fun. There’s an overall feeling of forward momentum, a belief that we’re on the right track, a greater willingness to take chances and do what excites us.
Who You Are

You’ve played a major role in helping a similar business significantly increase revenue.

- You've helped a business more effectively reach its existing audiences, increasing overall conversion rates.
- You've hired (i.e. chosen the right people) and managed contractors.

- Segmentation: you've organized a large customer base into meaningful segments and built targeted messaging for each, with the results to back it up.
