Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced General Counsel to serve as the chief legal officer of an emerging technology company. The compensation for ths role will be paid in restricted shares for the first 12 months. The ideal candidate will lead all legal strategies and Intellectual property strategies, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and provide expert guidance on a broad spectrum of legal matters. This pivotal role demands a proactive leader with exceptional negotiation skills, extensive legal expertise across multiple practice areas, and the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes confidently. As General Counsel, you will partner closely with executive leadership to safeguard the organization’s interests, foster ethical practices, and support sustainable growth.

Duties

• Provide comprehensive legal advice across diverse areas including intellectual property law, securities law, corporate law, labor law, and other relevant fields.
• Lead and oversee all litigation matters, ensuring effective management of lawsuits and dispute resolution processes.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures that promote compliance and mitigate risk throughout the organization.
• Conduct detailed legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to inform strategic decision-making.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents with precision to protect organizational interests.
• Manage relationships with external law firms and legal consultants to ensure quality service delivery.
• Stay abreast of changes in laws affecting the organization’s operations and advise on necessary adjustments to policies or practices.
• Oversee the organization’s legal administrative functions including documentation management and record keeping.
• Provide training to staff on legal compliance issues relevant to their roles.
