Director, Primary Care Recognition Program

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) seeks a Director, Primary Care and Diabetes Recognition Programs to lead the development, implementation, evaluation, and advancement of ADA’s primary care quality and recognition program portfolio. This position will play a key role in translating evidence-based recommendations into practical programs, tools, and strategies that support primary care practices in delivering high-quality, equitable care for people living with diabetes and/or obesity. The Director will lead the ideation, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of diabetes and primary care recognition programs across multiple content areas, working collaboratively with internal teams, clinical experts, professional organizations, health systems, primary care practices, and external partners. A key area of responsibility will be advancing the integration of diabetes technology into primary care, including continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), automated insulin delivery (AID), and connected insulin delivery systems. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Primary Care. While the position is remote, this position should anticipate travelling 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of ADA Primary Care Recognition Programs, from concept through launch and ongoing program management
• Develop and implement evaluation frameworks and performance measures to assess program reach, engagement, implementation, quality improvement, and impact.
• Analyze program data and translate findings into recommendations for program refinement, dissemination, and future investment.
• Provide strategic and operational oversight of complex quality improvement initiatives, ensuring milestones, deliverables, performance targets, and timelines are achieved
