Director of Contracts and Procurement

General Description

The Director of Contracts and Procurement is responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the organization’s contracting and procurement functions. This role ensures the development and execution of effective policies, procedures, and sourcing strategies to optimize performance, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with federal and commercial regulations. The Director will collaborate cross-functionally with senior leadership, legal, finance, and operations to align procurement initiatives with organizational goals. This role also oversees vendor relationship management, leads high-value negotiations, champions digital solutions, and mentors a high-performing team to ensure best-in-class contract and procurement practices. This position must demonstrate exceptional organization and provide prompt, consistent follow-up with internal and external stakeholders.

* + Develop and implement long-term strategies for contract management and procurement to align with organizational objectives. + Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for contract and procurement activities. + Provide oversight and direction for all contracts and procurement activities, ensuring consistency and regulatory compliance across the organization. + Champion the adoption and optimization of digital procurement and contract lifecycle management tools. + Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and improve performance.

*Contract Management*

* + Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts to ensure they meet legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements. + Ensure contracts are structured to minimize risk and maximize strategic and financial outcomes for the organization. + Monitor contract performance, including deliverables, timelines, and budget compliance. + Resolve disputes, enforce contract terms, and manage
