Upstate Counseling is a growing outpatient mental health organization seeking an experienced LCSW executive and clinical operator to lead the clinical side of the organization through its next stage of growth.

We are looking for a senior leader who has experience running, scaling, and strengthening clinical operations — ideally within a growing private, multi-site, telehealth, or otherwise complex behavioral health organization.

The Director of Clinical Operations will lead our clinical leadership structure, develop supervisors, drive accountability and performance, strengthen clinical systems, and partner with operational leadership as the organization grows.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have previously served in positions such as Clinical Director, Senior Clinical Director, VP of Clinical Operations, Director of Clinical Operations, Regional Clinical Director, or comparable senior leadership roles and who want substantial influence over how an organization develops.

For an exceptional leader, this role is intended to have significant runway, with the potential to grow into broader executive responsibility as the organization scales.

What You Will Own

• Lead the clinical organization and help define its strategy, structure, and priorities as the practice scales.
• Build the leadership infrastructure required to support a substantially larger clinical workforce.
• Lead clinical supervisors and other clinical leaders.
• Establish and manage clinical KPIs related to performance, documentation, retention, supervision, quality, capacity, and organizational health.
