### About the Role
Flourish Health is seeking a Director, Clinical Product to serve as a key bridge between Clinical Leadership, Care Delivery, Clinical/ Care Operations, and Product Development. This role will partner closely with the VP of Clinical R&D on the conception and development of clinical products, translating clinical and operational needs into product features and taking a primary role in driving the project management, implementation, adoption, and ongoing optimization of clinical product initiatives.
The Director, Clinical Product will work cross-functionally with Product Managers, Product Designers, Engineering teams, clinical leaders, and operational stakeholders to ensure that clinical needs, care team feedback, best practices, and operational considerations are incorporated into product development and successfully translated into day-to-day clinical practice.
This individual will play a critical role in moving clinical products from concept to execution- coordinating cross-functional workstreams, identifying and resolving implementation challenges, updating clinical workflows, developing training and enablement, and ensuring that new product features and operational changes are effectively adopted by clinical teams.
The ideal candidate brings strong clinical and operational expertise, exceptional project management and communication skills, and the ability to work comfortably across clinical and technical environments. This person is energized by taking complex ideas and turning them into scalable, well-integrated solutions that improve patient care, clinician experience, and operational efficiency.
### Responsibilities
#### Clinical Product Project Management
##### 1. Clinical Product Development
- Partner closely with the VP of Clinical R&D on the conception and development of clinical products, translating clinical and operational needs to technical product partners.
- Provide feedback to technical product partners on clinical best practices, care team feedback, and operational needs all incorporated in new product features.
- Coordinate cross-functional workflows, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholders to move clinical products from concept through development and launch.
- Identify workflow, operational, and implementation considerations early and work cross-functionally to address them.
- Partner with the Director, Clinical Programming to translate clinical programming frameworks into actionable care delivery workflows and leverage current and future product capabilities to support execution of the clinical model.
##### 2. Training, Release & Execution
- Lead the clinical and operational execution of new product features from release through implementation and ensure adoption.
- Partner with clinical leaders to prepare teams for new features, care delivery workflows, and technology-enabled changes, including developing and delivering training and supporting materials.
- Coordinate post-release support and address implementation, training, or workflow challenges that arise during adoption.
##### 3. Ongoing Monitoring & Optimization
- Monitor product adoption, effectiveness, and feedback from clinical and operational teams following implementation.
- Establish feedback loops between care teams, Clinical, Product, and Engineering to inform ongoing product improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve product functionality, clinical workflows, and user experience based on frontline feedback and operational data.
#### AI & Clinical Innovation
- In collaboration with clinical programming leadership, provide clinical expertise to the development and refinement of prompts, AI training tools, and AI-enabled clinical workflows.
- Support testing and validation of AI-enabled products and workflows to ensure clinical integrity, usability, and patient safety.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve care delivery, clinical workflows, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor AI-enabled tools following implementation and provide recommendations for ongoing improvement.
#### Patient Care
To stay closely connected to the clinical model, care workflows, and opportunities for improvement, clinical leaders should maintain hands-on clinical engagement. This may include:
- Maintaining a small caseload of 1–3 patients, or
- Providing clinical consultation on high-acuity patients.
### Role Requirements
#### Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in behavioral health, healthcare operations, healthcare technology, clinical program development, or a related field. Relevant years of master’s-level education may count toward this requirement.
- 8+ years of experience building and improving clinical and care operations, partnering directly with product and technology teams, working in digital mental health, or in a closely related environment.
- Experience translating clinical workflows into product requirements, system designs, or technology solutions.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving change management initiatives.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate between clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and start up adaptability
- Must be 18 years or older.
### Preferred Qualifications
- License in clinical mental health (LPC/ LMHC, PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
- Willingness to obtain licensure in all 50 states.
- Experience working in a startup environment during a period of rapid growth and scale.
- Experience with AI-enabled healthcare products, including AI training, evaluation, implementation, or workflow integration.
- Familiarity with Agile product development.
Salary
$130,000-$150,000
