Job Overview

The Vice President, Airport Infrastructure Transactions serves as the principal executive driving complex, large-scale P3 pursuits from opportunity through commercial and financial close, holistically shepherding the legal, technical, financial, and partner workstreams.

Working alongside the CEO and executive team, who lead primary airport and RAC relationships, this role serves as lead deal strategist and orchestrator across airport authorities, airlines, rental car companies, government stakeholders, equity partners, and lenders. Coordinating internal business development, finance, legal, and design-build resources, the VP owns the commercial structure, risk allocation, and definitive agreements through financial and commercial close.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Commercial Negotiations: Develop negotiation strategy and lead commercial and contractual negotiations with equity partners, lenders, and counterparties, while supporting the CEO and executive team in engagement with airport executive leadership and rental car consortiums, to align multi-party interests into executable transaction structures.
  • Quarterback Pursuits to Close: Own the end-to-end deal execution roadmap, applying rigorous project management discipline, driving all workstreams required to reach commercial close and financial close within targeted schedules and return parameters, including across multiple concurrent pursuits.
  • Structure Complex Agreements: Partner with internal and external legal and financial advisors to draft, negotiate, and finalize, ground/master lease, subleases, financing documents, and risk-allocation frameworks.
  • Cross-Functional Team Orchestration: Direct internal pursuit resources, coordinating closely with business development for origination handoff, project finance for underwriting and capital structuring, and technical delivery teams for design-build requirements.
  • Stakeholder and Approvals Strategy: Anticipate and manage approval risk with city councils, DOT, and other public stakeholders, coordinating lobbyists and messaging so selected pursuits do not stall before close.
  • Handoff to Delivery: Establish clear baseline budgets, commercial terms, and risk registers, executing a clean transition of project accountability to the construction and asset operations leadership post-close.
  • Some travel required

Core Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership in infrastructure transaction structuring, project finance, or public-private partnerships (P3), with a proven track record of taking complex capital projects through commercial and financial close, including managing multiple concurrent pursuits with rigorous project management discipline.
  • Professional Background: Background in infrastructure legal advisory, investment banking / project finance, or concession strategy. Direct experience with airport real estate, ground leases, or transportation infrastructure is strongly preferred.
  • Negotiation & Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated executive presence and ability to lead contentious, multi-party negotiations involving public-sector authorities, airlines, and corporate commercial tenants.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field preferred; J.D., MBA, or advanced degree in Finance required.

This role is ideal for a motivated leader eager to make a significant impact on airport infrastructure development through strategic transaction management.
