Job Description
General Purpose
Your role as a Tax Director includes owning client relationships and providing holistic tax services. In short, you’ll act as an “in-house” or “fractional” tax director for your clients. Among other things, the services you’ll provide will include federal, state, and local income tax compliance (with an emphasis on corporate compliance), assistance with ASC 740 reporting, tax planning, and structuring advice. If a client is facing a tax-related issue, we either provide the service ourselves or refer them to someone who can.
You’ll work closely with clients, management, and internal teams on all phases of project and engagement management. You’ll be expected to own client relationships and to provide the best service you can. You’ll also be involved in mentoring and training staff, assisting the management team with business and process improvements, and some business development initiatives.
You are the ideal candidate if you are a collaborative, proactive leader with strong technical tax expertise, including significant experience with C-corporation and ASC 740 tax provisions. You’ll also need exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple complex engagements simultaneously while delivering a high level of client service.

- Ensure assigned tax returns are completed accurately and within required deadlines
- Manage IRS and state tax audit examinations and support successful resolution efforts
