Job Description

*This position requires candidates to be field-based and aligned to the Capital Region, which includes territories across Maryland, Virginia, the Washington, DC metropolitan area, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio. Candidates do not need to reside in one of these states but should live within a reasonable commuting distance of a major airport and be able to travel throughout the region as needed.*

This role is accountable for leading regional sales execution, developing field talent, strengthening market strategy, and ensuring alignment with AbbVie’s standards, franchise priorities, and stakeholder expectations.

Building on this accountability, the Regional Sales Director translates franchise priorities into clear sales strategies, field-based plans, and agreed-upon actions that deliver short and long-term goals. Hiring, developing, and retaining top talent is central to the role and to building a high-performing team and culture. Through clear strategy, disciplined execution, and strong cross-functional partnership, the role strengthens AbbVie’s leadership position and advances solutions across key stakeholders.
