Medspa Medical Director

Her Essence Beauty Bar,

a premier wellness and body contouring spa, is seeking a Louisiana- licensed and experienced Medical Director to oversee and collaborate on our growing aesthetic and weight loss practice. We specialize in post operative lymphatic massage care, body sculpting, and prescription-based weight loss injections (semaglutide, Tirepatide) and IV hydration.

Medical Director Responsibilities

• Serve as the Medical Director per Louisiana regulations, overseeing clinical protocols and services requiring medical oversight.
• Authorize and supervise the use of GLP-1 weight loss medications, including semaglutide and tirepatide
• Collaborate with RNs or mid-level providers to establish safe patient screening, dosing, and monitoring procedures.
• Approve medical protocols, standing orders, and informed consent forms.
• Review charts and provide oversight to ensure compliance with Louisiana Board of Medical Examiners guidelines.
• Maintain availability for clinical questions or emergencies (within reasons).
• Provided tele health or in-person consultation, if desired.

Medical Director Requirements

• Current and unrestricted MD or DO license in the state of Louisiana.
• Knowledge of weight loss pharmacotherapy and or interest in GLP-1s (semaglutide, tirzepatide) preferred.
• Prior experience in a medical spa, concierge medicine, or Telehealth setting is a plus.
• Comfortable in a collaborative, part-time, or advisory role.
• Must be willing to sign off on standing orders and provide regulatory support.

Compensation & Details

• Monthly Retainer: $750-1,000.00/month depending on involvement
• Minimal time commitment with flexible availability
• Remote chart review and collaboration possible
• Malpractice liability support if needed.
