Medical Director - Physician

Duties

* Provide clinical leadership by overseeing medical staff activities, ensuring adherence to healthcare policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, FDA regulations, and NCQA standards * Develop and implement clinical protocols, treatment guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient care delivery * Manage electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems), ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with healthcare data standards, and efficient medical records management * Lead research initiatives and support clinical development projects to advance evidence-based practices and innovative therapies * Supervise medical staff including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals; facilitate training, performance evaluations, and continuing education programs * Ensure hospital or clinic compliance with healthcare laws such as HIPAA, DEA regulations for controlled substances, and other relevant legal requirements * Collaborate with administrative teams on budgeting, resource allocation, project management, and practice management strategies to enhance operational efficiency * Monitor utilization management processes to ensure appropriate resource use while maintaining high-quality patient care *
