Job Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Medical Director to lead our RPM (Remote Patient Monitoring) and CCM (Chronic Care Management) Telehealth Clinics. This pivotal role involves overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and driving quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical management, healthcare leadership, and telehealth services, with a passion for advancing patient care through innovative remote health solutions. As a Medical Director, you will provide strategic direction, foster clinical excellence, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional virtual healthcare experiences.
Duties
- Lead the development and implementation of clinical protocols aligned with NCQA standards, FDA regulations, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare best practices for telehealth services
- Oversee the management of electronic health records (EHR) systems and ensure accurate documentation of medical records and patient interactions
- Supervise clinical staff, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers, ensuring adherence to medical management and practice management standards
- Ensure compliance with drug enforcement regulations (DEA), healthcare laws, and hospital policies while maintaining high-quality patient care
- Coordinate clinical research activities related to telehealth innovations and contribute to academic leadership initiatives in telemedicine development
- Monitor utilization management metrics to optimize patient outcomes while controlling costs within managed care frameworks
- Drive quality improvement programs by analyzing medical records data, implementing best practices, and fostering continuous professional development among staff
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with active medical licensure in relevant jurisdictions
- Post-residency experience in clinical practice with supervisory or leadership roles in hospital or outpatient settings
- Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical development processes
- Proven expertise in EMR/EHR systems management, healthcare compliance (including HIPAA), and medical research methodologies
- Strong project management skills with experience overseeing large-scale initiatives within healthcare organizations
- Familiarity with NCQA standards, utilization management protocols, FDA regulations, and managed care principles
- Demonstrated leadership in teaching, supervising medical staff, and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments including DEA regulations and HIPAA guidelines
- Excellent communication skills coupled with strategic thinking to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively
- Commitment to innovation in telehealth services and continuous improvement of remote patient monitoring programs
Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
