Licensed Clinical Psychologist | Remote | $220,000 + Benefits | Leadership Track to Director of Therapy
Source EQ is recruiting a licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) for a highly regarded and specialized national outpatient telehealth clinic. You'll start as the senior psychotherapy clinician and program builder, then grow into Director of Therapy leading a national team of therapists.
The clinic treats medically and psychiatrically complex adults with persistent neurological and physical symptoms linked to psychiatric medication adverse effects and protracted withdrawal syndromes. Patients often experience chronic pain, severe insomnia, cognitive impairment, mood instability, functional disability, and chronic suicidality.
You do not need prior experience with medication withdrawal. The Founder/Medical Director and clinical team provide full training on the condition, the patient population, and the treatment approach.

Responsibilities
*Clinical Care (about 15–20 hours per week)*
- Provide individual psychotherapy and clinical assessments for high-risk outpatients
- Treat patients with chronic suicidal ideation and histories of suicide attempts
- Conduct suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and means-safety counseling
- Distinguish chronic baseline suicidal ideation from acute escalation and decide on the appropriate level of care
- Partner with families on support, safety, and escalation plans
- Help patients manage chronic pain, insomnia, neurological and cognitive symptoms, and functional impairment
- Help patients rebuild function, relationships, independence, and meaning, even while symptoms persist
*Program Development*
- Build the clinic's psychotherapy and rehabilitation model
- Create treatment protocols, manuals, clinical tools, and documentation standards
- Develop individual and group therapy programming
- Establish suicide-management procedures and measurement-based care with outcome tracking
*Clinical Leadership*
- Supervise an existing team of two therapists, growing to about five or more
- Recruit, train, and supervise psychologists and therapists
- Serve as the senior consultant on difficult and high-risk cases
- Set therapist training, competency, and quality standards
- Collaborate with the Founder/Medical Director, psychiatric prescribers, and operations team
Required Qualifications
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
- Active psychologist license with 5+ years of post-licensure clinical experience
- Significant experience treating chronic suicidality and patients with prior suicide attempts
- Experience with safety planning and managing high-risk outpatients
- Strong background in CBT, ideally including ACT or other third-wave approaches
- Experience treating chronic pain, chronic medical illness, or functional impairment
- Prior experience supervising clinicians
- Willingness to practice across multiple states
Preferred Qualifications
- PSYPACT participation or eligibility (strongly preferred)
- Rehabilitation psychology or health psychology background
- Experience with neurological illness, brain injury, cognitive impairment, or disability adjustment
- Training in ACT, CAMS, DBT, BCBT, CBT for chronic pain, or CBT-I
- Clinical program leadership experience
- Board certification (ABPP)
