Meridian Capital Partners (MCP)

Early-Stage Venture Compensation: Equity-Based Commitment: Founding/Early Leadership Role Location: Flexible / Remote

About Meridian Capital Partners

Meridian Capital Partners (MCP) is an early-stage, operator-led investment and growth firm built to help ambitious companies move from capital to execution, traction, and sustainable scale.

MCP operates through two interconnected engines

Growth & Operating Services

— providing hands-on growth, marketing, sales, talent, technology, and operational support to investor-backed and high-growth companies.

Investment & Asset Development

— selectively investing in, incubating, acquiring, and building companies and other strategic assets over the long term.

Our objective is to build an integrated platform at the intersection of capital, companies, talent, technology, and execution.

Capital opens the door. Execution creates the value.

The Opportunity

Meridian Capital Partners is seeking a Head of Operations to join the firm during its early stages and help build the operational infrastructure required to scale MCP.

This is a highly hands-on position for someone who enjoys taking ambitious ideas and turning them into organized, measurable, and repeatable systems.

The Head of Operations will work closely with MCP's Founder and Managing Partner to coordinate the firm's day-to-day operations, establish internal processes, manage strategic initiatives, track company performance, support client and portfolio engagements, and ensure priorities move from discussion to execution.

Because MCP is an early-stage venture, initial compensation for this position will be equity-based rather than a traditional guaranteed cash salary. The specific equity structure, vesting requirements, responsibilities, and potential future cash compensation will be established through a formal agreement.

Key ResponsibilitiesFirm Operations

  • Manage and continuously improve MCP's day-to-day operating infrastructure.
  • Translate leadership priorities into clear projects, owners, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Establish internal processes, workflows, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate activities across MCP's business functions.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions.
  • Maintain company records and organizational documentation.
  • Help create an operating environment that remains efficient as MCP scales.

Project & Execution Management

  • Manage strategic initiatives from planning through completion.
  • Create project timelines and establish accountability across the organization.
  • Track deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate team members, contractors, advisors, and external partners.
  • Follow up on outstanding action items and ensure commitments are completed.
  • Develop systems that give leadership visibility into company-wide execution.

Client & Portfolio Operations

  • Coordinate onboarding for new MCP clients and strategic partners.
  • Help translate client objectives into actionable operating plans.
  • Coordinate resources across growth, marketing, technology, recruiting, sales, and other functions.
  • Track client deliverables and engagement performance.
  • Establish consistent client reporting processes.
  • Support portfolio companies and investment initiatives as MCP expands its investment activities.

Financial & Performance Operations

  • Assist leadership with budgets, financial forecasts, and operating plans.
  • Track revenue, recurring revenue, expenses, cash requirements, margins, and other key metrics.
  • Help establish departmental budgets and spending controls.
  • Maintain KPI dashboards for leadership.
  • Coordinate with accounting, legal, payroll, banking, and other professional service providers.
  • Help leadership evaluate resource allocation and operational efficiency.

Systems & Technology

  • Build MCP's internal technology stack.
  • Implement and manage CRM, project management, communication, reporting, documentation, and automation systems.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve operational efficiency.
  • Reduce unnecessary manual processes.
  • Maintain accurate internal data and reporting standards.
  • Ensure critical organizational knowledge is properly documented.

People Operations

  • Help establish onboarding and offboarding procedures.
  • Coordinate recruiting and hiring processes alongside leadership.
  • Maintain organizational charts, role responsibilities, and accountability structures.
  • Establish performance tracking and review processes.
  • Coordinate contractors and external specialists.
  • Help build a high-performance, accountable, and entrepreneurial culture.

Leadership Operations

  • Prepare agendas and materials for leadership meetings.
  • Maintain company-wide priorities and action items.
  • Coordinate weekly operating meetings and quarterly planning.
  • Provide leadership with concise updates on company performance, risks, and outstanding decisions.
  • Ensure decisions made by leadership translate into execution across the organization.

First-Year Priorities

The Head of Operations will initially be expected to help MCP

  • Establish its core operating infrastructure.
  • Implement a company-wide CRM and project management system.
  • Create SOPs for major recurring processes.
  • Build company and client KPI dashboards.
  • Establish budgeting and expense-management processes.
  • Create client onboarding and reporting systems.
  • Establish weekly and monthly operating rhythms.
  • Build an organized contractor and talent network.
  • Support MCP's first client engagements.
  • Prepare the operational foundation necessary for the firm to scale.

Ideal Candidate

We are interested in candidates with experience in areas such as

  • Startup operations
  • Business operations
  • Project management
  • Consulting
  • Venture capital or private equity operations
  • Portfolio operations
  • Finance and administration
  • Technology operations
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Chief of Staff or founder's office roles

Experience working within an early-stage startup or building processes from scratch is particularly valuable.

What We're Looking For

The ideal Head of Operations is

  • Has 10-20 Years of Experience in Management
  • Extremely organized and execution-oriented.
  • Comfortable building systems from zero.
  • Able to operate effectively in an early-stage environment.
  • Capable of turning broad objectives into actionable plans.
  • Highly accountable and dependable.
  • Strong at project and time management.
  • Comfortable working directly with senior leadership.

  • Resourceful when infrastructure does not yet exist.
  • Comfortable using technology, automation, and AI.
  • An excellent written and verbal communicator.
  • Able to identify problems before they become major issues.
  • Motivated by building rather than simply maintaining existing systems.

Compensation & Equity

This is an early-stage, equity-based opportunity.

MCP is currently in its formation and early commercialization stage. As a result, the Head of Operations position does not initially include a traditional guaranteed cash salary.

The selected individual will receive an equity-based compensation package intended to align their long-term interests with the growth and value creation of Meridian Capital Partners.

The final compensation structure may consider

  • Scope of responsibilities
  • Experience
  • Expected time commitment
  • Equity percentage
  • Vesting schedule
  • Performance milestones
  • Future cash compensation as MCP reaches defined revenue or funding milestones

All compensation and equity arrangements will be subject to definitive agreements and applicable legal, tax, and securities requirements.

Why Join MCP?

Joining Meridian Capital Partners at this stage means helping build the infrastructure behind the company rather than inheriting systems created by someone else.

The Head of Operations will have the opportunity to help create the processes, systems, operating standards, and organizational culture that could remain with MCP for years.

As the organization expands, this role also has the potential to grow significantly in scope and leadership responsibility.

We are looking for someone who wants to build the machine behind the vision.

Long-Term Vision

Meridian Capital Partners intends to develop into an integrated platform capable of building, scaling, investing in, incubating, and acquiring companies while compounding capital over the long term.

The Head of Operations will play a central role in creating the infrastructure required to make that vision scalable.

MCP needs more than ideas. It needs an operating system capable of turning those ideas into results.
