This is the seat to build it: own how the firm constructs and scales customized, tax- and values-aware bond portfolios, and bring the fixed-income side up to the caliber of the equity bench.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is an asset management firm with two business lines: ETF subadvisory and SMA direct indexing. The model is vertically aligned — wealth and asset management under one roof — and built around a clear set of values, serving a faith-aligned client base. The equity team is deep, with backgrounds spanning firms like Wellington, Invesco, and Parametric. Fixed income is where the next build happens.

WHAT YOU'D OWN

Stand up and scale a fixed-income SMA / direct-indexing capability — across multiple credit buckets, at scale, matching the horsepower of the equity side.

THE WORK, CONCRETELY

- Build the index-replication engine. Construct bond portfolios that track a chosen benchmark with minimal tracking error and cost — taking a broad credit index of thousands of names and building a focused portfolio (on the order of 150–200 names) that holds up across thousands of separately managed accounts.

- Set the firm-level credit, sector, and issuer views that drive construction.

- Deliver customization at scale — tax optimization and values alignment, account by account.

- Bring fixed income to the level of the equity bench, and scope the team to get there.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- You've built systematic fixed-income portfolios — not just overseen or advised on them. Hands-on construction is the core of this role.

- Direct-indexing and tracking-error discipline: you can sample a broad index into a compact, cost- and tracking-error-optimized portfolio, and scale it.

- Background from a systematic fixed-income shop — think a BlackRock, a Truist, or a Parametric-style direct-indexing platform.

- You're energized by an execution-fidelity model — tracking a benchmark with tax and values optimization — rather than chasing alpha.
