Terrific Director of Technology role with an internationally focused nonprofit. The Director of Technology will join an AI-forward organization and serve as a hands-on technical leader. They will create and improve platforms, and provide relevant data to staff. The ideal candidate will be a builder who can oversee one direct report and an external contractor. Responsibilities:* Provide ownership over the health and architecture of digital platforms * Maintain and build new features utilizing PHP, React, and WordPress * Ensure that the technology serves those supporting the mission and those working for the organization * Own the organization's data architecture and translate data into actionable information for donors and staff * Establish annual and quarterly strategy; convert that to daily action items for the team * Integrate AI and ML in ways that serve the organization's mission; shape AI policy * Oversee a Salesforce consultant and the Full Stack Engineer * Manage department budget Qualifications:* Approximately 6+ years of relevant software development experience, including oversight of teams or projects * Bachelor's degree preferred * PHP experience required * Possess the ability to translate business requests into deliverables on a schedule * Experience in a nonprofit, international development or WASH setting is a plus * Demonstrated experience using JavaScript, and React, experience with WordPress and Salesforce a plus * Experience applying AI and ML to production * Ability to work in a remote setting with a geographically dispersed team * Thrive on a collaborative team; not a siloed role Equal Opportunity Employer.
