About the Role
Catalyst Healthcare Marketing is seeking an experienced, creative and strategic Director of Social Media to lead and grow our social media services for healthcare clients.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can develop strategy, confidently advise clients, manage a team and personally create exceptional content. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with strong creative execution, professional video editing skills, analytical expertise and a sense of urgency.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Client Leadership: Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with client goals. Present recommendations, creative concepts and performance insights directly to clients.
- Content Creation & Video Production: Create engaging graphics, scripts, Reels, TikToks and other social content. Professionally edit short- and long-form videos with speed and precision.
- Social Media Management: Oversee content calendars, publishing, platform optimization, community engagement and quality control across multiple client accounts.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor social media staff, freelancers and brand ambassadors while maintaining accountability for deliverables and quality.
- Analytics & Optimization: Monitor performance, prepare reports and translate insights into actionable strategies that drive audience growth, engagement and business results.
- Department Management: Oversee project scopes, budgets, timelines and staffing. Develop efficient processes and identify opportunities to expand social media services.
- Healthcare Content Oversight: Ensure content is accurate, appropriate and aligned with client brand standards, healthcare compliance considerations and approval requirements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional social media experience, preferably in an agency environment.
- Proven experience developing social media strategies and managing multiple client accounts.
- Advanced video production and editing skills, with the ability to efficiently produce polished, professional content.
- Proficiency in professional creative software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro or comparable platforms. Canva experience alone is not sufficient.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Experience managing creative teams, influencers or brand ambassadors.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn performance data into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent writing, communication, organizational and client presentation skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Healthcare or regulated-industry marketing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience developing creative for paid social campaigns is a plus.
Pay: $100,000.00 per year
