Position Summary
MAISA is seeking a proven executive professional to support the strategic implementation and continued innovation of the Michigan Collaboration Hub IT (MiCH IT) division by leading statewide technology deployments and ensuring all efforts align with MAISA’s goals and legislative priorities.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree or equivalent professional experience in IT Management, Educational Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- ISD Administration experience preferred, with an understanding of the role of ISDs and their relationship with local school districts
- Demonstrated leadership and experience working with a team
- Experience working on regional and statewide projects
- Expertise with K12 data, including but not limited to student data, academic performance data, attendance data, classroom interaction data, school & district data
- Expertise with data decision-making models
- Experience managing and integrating enterprise systems
- Classroom instruction experience preferred
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Support, promote, and lead the evolution of the vision for MiCH IT and the various associated projects
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with all MiCH IT, CEPI, MDE, ISDs, LEAs, vendors, and other strategic partners
- Facilitate Statewide Advisories and engage with MAISA Networks regularly
- Ensure legislative requirements are met and communicated
- Oversee the technical operations of the MiCH IT system with a focus on student outcomes
- Maintain effective governance and data governance strategies in accordance with FERPA and any other legislated privacy requirements.
- Ensure processes are in place to secure MiCH IT applications and architecture
- Drive strategic planning, resource alignment, and work effort alignment across the organization
- Ensure comprehensive budget alignment, strict financial oversight, and legislative priority alignment
- Oversee recruiting, planning, and facilitating within MiCH IT initiatives
- Provide robust leadership, guidance, and support for all MiCH IT initiatives
- Lead contract and procurement negotiations with vendors and strategic partners
- Conduct legislative planning, including drafting and editing one-pagers and legislative language
- Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships at the national, regional, and state levels
- Drive project sustainability planning to ensure the long-term viability of MiCH IT initiatives

Wages and Benefits
* An annual salary of $135,000.00, 401k contribution, paid time off, and medical benefits are included
Conditions
- This is an at-will position and can be terminated by either party
- The position is dependent on renewal based on performance review and funding
