Director of LMU Clinical DVM Program Operations & Assistant Professor
Lincoln Memorial University – College of Veterinary Medicine
Remote | Faculty Position
Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking an experienced veterinarian to serve as Director of LMU Clinical DVM Program Operations & Assistant Professor.
Working collaboratively with the Executive Associate Dean of Clinical Relations and Outreach and other faculty and staff, this position provides operational and executional leadership for LMU’s Clinical DVM Program. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape clinical veterinary education at LMU while supporting the development and success of future veterinarians.
This is a remote faculty position with occasional travel to LMU DVM instructional sites.
Key Responsibilities
The Director will provide leadership and oversight for several important components of LMU’s clinical veterinary education program, including:
- Manage the LMU DVM Clinical Course Mentor Program
- Manage the LMU DVM Clinical Site Training Program
- Manage the LMU DVM Clinical Year Student Success Program
- Manage the LMU DVM Professional Quality Assurance Program
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Executive Associate Dean of Clinical Relations and Outreach
- Develop strong working relationships with students, faculty, staff, other colleges within the University, and external clinical partners and stakeholders
- Provide oversight for initiatives supporting the mission and strategic objectives of the College of Veterinary Medicine
- Help ensure student learning outcomes are achieved and measurable within LMU’s hybrid distributed clinical education model
- Develop and deliver instructional materials and participate in research and service activities as assigned
- Prepare required reports and participate in Clinical Relations and Outreach team meetings
- Represent the College at appropriate AVMA, AAVMC, State VMA, and other professional programs, initiatives, and events
- Deliver presentations to students, clinical affiliates, and other stakeholders
- Participate in strategic initiatives as assigned
- Travel periodically as needed
Required Qualification
* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA and/or veterinary board certification
- At least 10 years of experience in clinical practice or academia
