Squire & Company is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing Operations to lead the firm's digital marketing strategy, marketing technology, and operational effectiveness. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, this individual will strengthen digital visibility, generate qualified business opportunities, and build scalable marketing systems that support client acquisition, retention, and expansion.
The Director will oversee website performance, search strategy, digital campaigns, marketing automation, CRM integration, and analytics. Working with the Chief Revenue Officer, Marketing, IT, business development, and service-line leaders, this individual will connect marketing investments to measurable business outcomes across Tax, Audit, and Advisory.
The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise, strong business acumen, and operational discipline. This role leads digital marketing systems and performance that contribute to growth, with the Chief Revenue Officer owning overall firm revenue outcomes. Responsibilities:
Digital Strategy and Revenue Growth

* Partner with the Chief Revenue Officer to develop digital marketing and marketing operations strategies aligned with Squire's growth priorities. * Establish annual and quarterly roadmaps, clear priorities, and performance expectations for digital initiatives and marketing technology investments. * Build lead generation and nurturing programs that attract prospective clients and convert engagement into qualified business opportunities. * Collaborate with business development and service-line leaders to identify target markets, client segments, and opportunities for market expansion. * Support cross-selling programs that connect existing clients with additional Squire services. * Present performance results, strategic recommendations, and investment opportunities to the Chief Revenue Officer and other firm leaders. Website Management and Search Performance ---------------------------------------------
* Own the strategy, performance, and continuous improvement of Squire's website and digital properties. * Lead search engine optimization, answer engine and AI search optimization, content discoverability, and technical search initiatives. * Optimize website architecture, user experience, content, and conversion pathways to increase qualified traffic and client inquiries. * Coordinate with IT and external partners on website accessibility, security, technical health, and the digital client experience. Marketing Technology AI and Automation ------------------------------------------
* Lead the development, integration, and optimization of platforms supporting CRM, marketing automation, email, content management, analytics, and digital campaigns. * Partner with IT to integrate marketing platforms with business systems and establish clear ownership for system performance and support. * Design scalable workflows and automation that improve campaign execution, lead nurturing, and team efficiency. * Build practical AI workflows for content development, campaign management, and reporting, with human review for accuracy, brand consistency, and appropriate handling of client information. * Establish standards for data quality, platform governance, documentation, and effective use of marketing technology. * Train and enable marketing team members on systems, workflows, automation, and emerging tools. Marketing Analytics and Business Performance ------------------------------------------------
* Develop dashboards that connect digital engagement and campaign performance with qualified opportunities and pipeline contribution. * Establish consistent KPI definitions, reporting processes, and data sources for traffic quality, conversion, lead quality, acquisition costs, and marketing return on investment. * Collaborate with business development and service-line leaders on lead qualification, routing, follow-up, and visibility into opportunity progression. * Develop attribution processes that distinguish marketing-generated opportunities from marketing-influenced opportunities. * Analyze performance trends, test improvements, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for leadership. * Report on the business impact of digital investments and use results to prioritize resources and continuous improvement. Marketing Operations and Resource Management ------------------------------------------------
* Lead day-to-day digital and marketing operations priorities, balancing strategic initiatives with execution needs. * Develop and manage approved budgets for marketing technology, digital advertising, agencies, and external resources. * Recommend investments in platforms, paid media, vendors, and staffing based on business priorities, expected value, and performance. * Lead vendor and agency selection, scope negotiation, contract coordination, and performance evaluation. * Establish repeatable campaign processes, documentation, and workflows that support timely, consistent execution. * Collaborate with marketing leadership and internal stakeholders to align resources, develop team capabilities, and deliver initiatives on time and within budget. Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field. * 7+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, marketing operations, marketing technology, or related disciplines. * Demonstrated success translating digital strategies into measurable business outcomes. * Hands-on experience with website content management, SEO, digital analytics, and conversion optimization. * Experience implementing, integrating, or optimizing CRM and marketing automation platforms. * Experience using AI tools and automation to improve marketing effectiveness and operational efficiency. * Experience managing budgets, external vendors, agencies, or team members. * Strong analytical, project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in professional services, accounting, consulting, financial services, or other relationship-driven B2B industries. * Experience with platforms such as WordPress, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, Power BI, or Looker Studio. * Understanding of account-based marketing, lead nurturing, B2B client acquisition, marketing attribution, and integrated campaign reporting. * Success improving operations through process redesign, technology integration, or automation. * Experience supporting multiple service lines, geographic markets, or complex organizational structures. The Chief Revenue Officer and Director will establish performance targets based on business priorities and baseline results. Success will include:
* Growth in qualified traffic, inbound opportunities, and conversion rates. * Stronger visibility into lead progression, marketing-generated pipeline, and marketing-influenced growth. * Effective adoption and integration of marketing technology and automation. * Reduced manual work and improved campaign execution and team productivity. * Reliable dashboards, clear investment reporting, and delivery of strategic initiatives on time and within budget. Work Location
Preference for candidates located near one of Squire's offices in Orem, Salt Lake City, St. George, Cedar City, or Richfield, UT; Mesa, AZ; or Mesquite, NV. Remote candidates residing in the Mountain, Central, or Eastern Time Zones will also be considered.
