The Opportunity

The Director, Controllership & Accounting will own the full accounting function as the first dedicated accounting hire on the platform. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will translate Montera’s development pipeline into a disciplined, institutional-grade financial platform; establishing REIT-ready accounting infrastructure from day one, building the chart of accounts, governing project accounting across a multi-billion-dollar capital program, and ensuring that financial reporting aligns with underwriting models, lender covenants, and investor expectations.

This is a hands-on builder role, not an oversight role. In the first 12-18 months, this person will personally own the close, post entries, build reconciliations, stand up the ERP, write the policies, and execute REIT testing—while designing the systems and processes that will let the function scale.
