Illumina is seeking a Director of Clinical Bioinformatics t o lead delivery of informatic solutions that power Illumina’s end-to-end solutions and assay informatics . We are looking for an experienced bioinformatics leader that is passionate about powering new applications with innovative new informatics approaches using Illumina sequencing and multi- omic technologies. This is a unique opportunity to be a core contributor to Illumina’s mission to unlock the power of the genome by creating our next application solutions and industry leading bioinformatic algorithms.

Location

The ideal candidate is based in San Diego, CA or within California with the ability to travel to San Diego on a regular

basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead bioinformatics for design, delivery, and validation of end-to-end assay and application solutions .

• Innovate vigorously to deliver high value solutions to drive next wave of precision medicine and multi-omics applications

• Responsible for design and implementation of novel bioinformatics algorithms on the DRAGEN platform

• Build and manage relationships with external customers, partners, and key opinion leaders and represent Illumina externally

• Develop program to proactively monitor , and tactically and strategically
