Director, Accident Reconstruction

The Role

The Director of Accident Reconstruction is responsible for leading a team of Accident Reconstructionist in the execution of technical investigations, reporting, and client engagement. This role oversees project delivery, ensures adherence to scope and budget, and maintains high standards of technical accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has an established client network and has a strong track record of building rapport and maintaining lasting client relationships.

In This Role, You Will

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accident reconstruction experts.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring quality work, strong client service, and on-time deliverables.
• Manage client relationships and identify opportunities for new and repeat business.
• Support business development activities, including conferences, networking, and industry engagement.
• Ensure workload is evenly distributed across the team.
• Conduct field investigations and document collision scenes using advanced forensic technology.
• Analyze vehicle damage and supporting crash-related data.
• Process 3D scan files and reconstruction evidence.
• Develop collision models and visualizations with technical specialists.
• Perform crash simulations using reconstruction software.
• Apply engineering analysis to determine speeds, forces, and vehicle dynamics.
• Coordinate with clients to set up site visits and complete deliverables on projects.
• Create reports as requested by clients detailing the accident reconstruction process and including findings and conclusions.
• Provide reports to clients to assist with determining the contributory factors of an accident.
• Review reports and deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency.
• Research papers and journals related to vehicular accident reconstruction to advance the scientific techniques used in the reconstruction work.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
